It Is His Duty Toward Mother To Help Her

Dear Marie - 

It is your turn to write. I should think you could find some time if you would only try.

Your father said he was still sore but has started to drive his car. How I wish he would rest but I suppose Dora wants him to help her with selling Christmas cards. You know people who used to make believe they were his friends could show it by helping him at this time. 

Didn't he like to show how he would help people when there was an opportunity? Do you know anyone in Omaha whom you suppose could drive your father's care for him?

Please write as soon as possible to Bob and explain about Martin. Bob should be willing to do what I asked for Martin. I would make matters so much easier if those who are in the family and related would co-operate. This for the welfare of those who are close to one another.

Please write as nice a letter as you can to Martin. Say it is his duty toward mother to help her. You are supposed to be a Christian I thought. Then please show some kindness in time of need.

Now if Bob can go to New York when Martin is there it would be the best way possible.

Dear Sir -

I wish to write to you about my son- Martin Miles Jensen as far as I know my son is still employed by the maritime unions.

My son's number is Z-1018 625 - D1.

I hope you can find out where my son is at the present as I haven't heard from him for months. I hope this information will explain about my son.

His next of kin - father is Mr. Lars P. Jensen, 2511 Emmet Street, Omaha, Nebraska.

I talked to Mr. Lars Jensen over the telephone a few days ago and we agreed to try to find out about our son.

We would like to know what his address is when he comes to New York. That is if still employed by a shipping company. Now at Christmas time when I received a gift from him he wrote his return address to his father's address in Omaha, Nebr. Also some-time ago when he wrote to me he gave his address as -

Where I Could Receive Fare Wages

Dear Marie -

I have been waiting to hear from you. But I wish to send you the 2 letters enclosed so I will write a few lines.

I wrote to Lottie and answered her letter. I wish to keep matters straight so I will repeat to you what is so important to me.

That being Lottie is working at the college couldn't she see if I couldn't get work there washing dishes and doing some cleaning the same as I am doing here? And if not, that if she wrote the social worker to please find a place for me where I wouldn't need to work such long hours where I could receive fare wages and attend church on Sunadys. I haven't heard from Martin. I wrote another letter to one of the company's in New York. Marie if we hear from the company's he works for or from Martin we could let him know that we would like to have him come out to Phoenix, Arizona.

Marie it would perhaps be some time before there would be any letter from Martin or the company as you can very well imagine. Now I was going to suggest that I come out there with-out Martin and he can come later if Martin don't come here.

I wish to talk to the superintendent and hope that I can some time next month. I will let your father know about what time so that he can take me there. Just at present the superintendent isn't out at the Lincoln hospital.

Now if I don't hear from Lottie during next month or anything from Martin or New York and I don't get a different place to work I surely want to come out to Phoenix. Is that all right?

I sent you the superintendent's address. Did you write to him? Did you get the letter from the social worker?

As I have said I want to go to Omaha from here as I wish to visit a few places. I wish to go and visit and see my aunt Addie. You can read Garfield's letter and see why.

I wish you would write to the company Martin works for. Here is the address -

I must help him with taking care of this earnings. And wish you could help Martin also.

I will call you some time next month and please say that I can come as I have tried my best to explain matters to you.

I was glad to receive an answer from the Company. Isn't is wonderful that Martin has been employed now over 3 years by the Company? I am proud of him. Now we must respect him and try to show him how we would like to see him.

Now please sit down and write to him how you would like to have him come out for a visit. But first to come to Omaha and his father said he would be glad to see him. Then I hope your father and Martin will come to Lincoln. That is if Martin does come I mean.

Please write at once to the company and explain how you would like to Martin to come for a visit out there. But to come for me first so we can come out to Arizona together. The company address is -

Now Martin was in New York last year in December and I hope he will be this year. Please ask the company if Martin will be in New York this month.

About my relatives out in Utah I received a letter from them when they first arrived from Sweden. I was in the hospital here in Lincoln. I haven't seen them so I would be delighted to meet them. They have sent me pictures of them-selves and postal cards. I am enclosing a card they sent me. This is what my cousin's daughter wrote to me - and I quote -

"We have been thinking why don't you go to your daughter in Arizona now first or later on come here." Un-quote.

So Marie please cooperate and help me. Thanking you very. very much in advance. It will be a most Merry Christmas for me when you write in your letter that I may come out to Arizona Marie.
