Marie's letter in part (from Ruth)

Oct. 2 1955

Marie's letter in part.

Dearest mother -

I often think of you and wonder how you are. Please write soon.

It was wonderful to hear that you had passed all the physical examinations this spring. You have made a remarkable recovery from your illness of 15 years ago.

Have you heard from Martin?

With much love,
Marie

Dearest Mother -

You mentioned wanting to go to be with Martin. This ounds like it ought to have possibilities. We girls are all married and have our families. Martin is all alone and has no one. If you get Social Security you would not be totally dependent on him. So much depends upon Martin. Is he ready to settle down in one place? Can he find steady work? I think it would be worth finding out.

Please write again soon.

Love, Marie and family
