What I remember about the "Tacoma Lodge No. 174" was the swimming pool. And the fancy schmancy dining hall where we got to choose anything we wanted...including dessert.
On the flip side, my paternal grandpa, Stan Burkhalter Sr., hunted elk. He once drove into our driveway with a six-point buck strapped to the front hood.
I was very confused as a kid.
