They're not really down there; it's just the stuff they left behind...
About the Basement
My mother's basement is affectionately known as "The Dead People's Room".
Tucked away in the corner are over a dozen boxes holding birth announcements, news clippings, 70 years of tax documents (not kidding...stay tuned for evidence), obligatory holiday photos, and letters. Lots and lots of letters.
Click on "The Beginning" post in the archives, dated 12/31/2009, to read more about the project.
Most people call me Anna. I've also answered to Annalei, AB, Nanna B, A, Anna Bananna, Annie, and Burkie. You choose.
The boxes and their contents may be in my basement (OK, they are currently in my guest room as I don't have a basement), but they aren't mine. Let me know if there is something you'd like to have stored in your basement. I'm happy to share. Well, I'm happy to share if you are related to me.
I can be contacted at annalei.burkhalter(at)gmail(dot)com.
