Dearest Mother,
I received a nice letter from Hilda Cozad's daughter, Gloria Thurber. It seems as though her Aunt Edna and Edna's son-in-law went to Lincoln to see you but they evidently didn't get much positive response. The report is that you had not checked with the State Hospital.
I have just written to Dr. Palmer and told her that I would give my consent to your going to live with Hilda Cozad's sister, Edna. May I suggest that you use good judgement in carrying through with the proper steps to secure some type of parole to Edna.
I think this could be a fine arrangement for both of you. I wrote a long letter to Gloria Thurber and explained things in your behalf. I suggested that she help work toward you & her Aunt Edna being in a position where you two could be helpful to one another.
I am behind you in this endeavor. Let me know if there is anything more I can do. I think this change will be good for you.
We received the magazines. The birthday gifts were much appreciated. That box of candy was just delicious! Thank you!
Love,
Marie
