But hers is green and she dont like green

Postmark: Nov. 23, 1965

Dear Lottie & Bob and Family.

Received your letter and glad to hear from you and get caught up on all the back news. Did I answer? I dont remember but anyway hope I did and we enjoyed your letter.

We enjoyed a nice visit with Martin he just wanted to stop home didn't seem to want to go anyplace. he seemed to enjoy it. Lars took him to Blair one day and to Lincoln one and it was cold drizzling both trips so no wonder he wanted to stay home. Lars was showing him his sweater he sent to him last xmas, telling him how wonderful it was so warm just right and I said Dad sure is proud of that sweater and we are so glad you sent it and I wish I had one just like it. Then he said it come from England and Ill get one for you too and a beautiful warm blue sweater come the other day of I'm so proud of it too

We went to Lincoln today and Lars just insisted I wear it I told him Id rather not for she might not like it but he insisted so I did oh its so nice she admired it said he sent her one too but hers is green and she dont like green said she liked blue or pink or yelloe or black but didn't like red or green for herself. What a shame he didn't send hers some other color. she liked pale blue like mine.

She didn't look well today seemed so pale said she missed Jessie for we usuall took her with us and her and Jessie always got along so nice. We had a nice dinner and her and me sure enjoyed it and we ate so much we had roast beef sandwich and I had a salad bowl and I gave her half of it (only cost .45). then her and me had big piece of pie I had peach I dont know but I think hers was apple she had tea I had two cups of coffee and her and lars had rolls she took two Lars one and we sure enjoyed our dinner and poor Lars he had hot beef sandwich and glass of milk but he had the pleasure watching her and me eat.

Jill and her man drive up here and have Thanksgiving dinner with us they could make it in one day easy. but I didn't think about it till so late that time I wrote to you and you to them be too late and just wonderful weather to drive in now and xmas is liable to come be O.K. with us I can get Jean cot there just stored in the basement.

We are going to Potters for Thanksgiving and they will be here for xmas.

Oh weve been working so hard with the cards but most delivered now till several old meanies dont want them till Dec 2 - Dec 12 and last of now so I suppose be ice & snow to finish up I told him I would tell them no deliveries after Nov 15. but he wont do it he says when do you want them so they dont want them until he has to go in snow and ice makes me mad. But he dont care but hes getting so tired and so amd I. Ive gone with him everyday but I went to Laundro-Mat few times. then I have my work to do and makes it awful hard. Mrs Schultz is sick high blood pressure too heavy and terrible pains in back of her head clear down in her neck so imagine its not to pleasant for Ruth.

We took her and Ruth there cookies today for xmas and heavy weight dieting and cookies dont go together so have an idea she said to herself (wish you had left them in Omaha). Lars watching wrestling and over now so its bedtime so must quit and go to bed. Write soon love to all from Dora and Dad.
