"No water, no lights, no heat, no nothing"

January 31, 1951

Dear Marie and all,

Thank you so much for our wonderful stay in Phoenix. You made our visit very pleasant indeed. I love your house - I know you're going to be very happy in it as the children grow. They are darlings, too. Give them each a hug for me - especially my little pal, Stevie.

We had an uneventful trip home, except that the electricity at Betty's house was turned off when we arrived on Saturday night. It was bitter cold. No water, no lights, no heat, no nothing. Morgan got them to turn on the juice Sunday morning and all was well.

Thanks again Marie. Now it's you're turn to come and see us!

Love,
L
